Why Six?
As a 21st century company, we have tried and tested almost every collaborative solution out there. Our goal was simply to maximize the ability for our team to do their jobs more effectively by making the necessary information they needed easily accessible. From MS SharePoint to various other 'new' collaboration suites we have spent hours, days and even months trying to find a solution that would integrate and enhance our our day-to-day activities. Overall, we only found frustration. Finding the pain points in the other products was easy, from lack of integration into current work flows, to confusing jargon and awkward interfaces, to huge price points and set up nightmares. Learning from this and guided by the philosophy that sharing, storing and finding people and content should be easy Six was built to be easy to use, yet powerful.
Unlike solutions like SharePoint Six does not require massive customization, or high paid technical personell to implement. Six comes to you ready to use and functional whether you want to test it with three employees, or distributed it across a thousand person corporation. After setting up the simple Groups and Topics hierarchy simply invite others to join the community and they will receive an email explaining what to do.
From the beginning Six has focused a large portion of development time in making an easy to use, easy to understand interface that even the most adverse employees would find comfortable and intuitive. Six is built on the foundation that all vital knowledge and content can be categorized into one or many topical groups, and that all knowledge management can be reduced down to three calls to action. Find, Ask and Share. If you are looking for complex, jargon heavy software then Six is not for you.
Built to be fast Six is securely available to you as a hosted application. This means no messy installs, no expensive hardware, no extra IT personnel to provide you with updates. This frees your IT staff to focus on infrastructure, and other mission critical hardware applications.
Other systems add mobile support as an add-on after thought, or need a third party solutions to be be installed on top of them. With the rise of smartphones for the enterprise this is no longer an acceptable solution. Six was built with mobility in mind.
